We make replacement convex glass for all the old shapes and sizes for frames circa 1900 — rectangles, ovals, circles, and special shapes like double boiler ends. Available in three styles: portrait 'bubble glass' for shallow convex replacements; moderate depth for 3D framing of textiles and general memorabilia; and deep convex for bulkier 3D items like dried flowers, diving equipment, or reproduction portrait frames. Convex glass can also be silvered to create convex or concave mirrors. All made in 3mm (1/8") glass for strength.
We supply new curved glass for broken china cabinet doors and deli counters, as well as bespoke applications. From simple radius bends, J-curves, serpentine, and double serpentine — available in annealed, toughened, or laminated glass. Other uses include aquariums, light fittings, windows, furniture glass legs, funhouse mirrors, and solar heaters. Contact us to discuss replacement or new applications.
Our display cases are UV-glued for virtually invisible, extremely strong joints — built to last a lifetime without scratching or dulling. Tops are available in plain glass, laminated UV-blocking glass (99% UV), or Protect optically coated glass (100% UV, less than 1% reflection). Bases can be all-glass for a contemporary look, or timber in a wide range of stained or painted finishes. For larger pieces, our large format flat-pack system ships safely and assembles on-site with cast metal brackets.
Our mounting accessories make it easy to display sporting items professionally. Cricket bat mounts secure any full-size bat to a backing in about 15 minutes — available in 3 toe thicknesses, fully reversible and non-damaging. Baseball bat mounts work for timber and aluminium bats. Sports ball clips come in three sizes: cricket ball/baseball, tennis ball, and golf ball — just a few minutes to mount, ready to frame. All products are sold with full instructions.
Mirror and silvering combinations are virtually limited only by the imagination. We can silver your flat or convex glass in a first-class new hand-silvered finish, suitable for contemporary settings. Antiqued silvering is also a specialty — we make the mirror backing look authentically aged and 'spoiled', perfect for old frames where an existing mirror was already weathered. We can supply frames from our range, or work with a frame you already have. Custom shapes available within manufacturing limits.
We take modern float glass and give it the character of old drawn or cylinder glass — subtle ripples visible when light catches its surface, or heavily distorted like older antique glass. Perfect for period homes needing original-look replacements, reproduction or original bookcases and furniture glazing, and picture framing of antique prints. Olde World Sheet can also be silvered to create mirrors that work beautifully in antique or heritage frames, especially when combined with our antiqued silvering finish.
We stock Schott Mirogard Plus — an optically coated low-reflection glass for picture framing. It blocks 84% of UV light, has less than 1% surface reflection, and is almost indiscernible when placed over an artwork compared to normal plain glass. The fine detail of paintings, canvases, and artworks is dramatically clearer. It has a cleaner, whiter edge being a low-iron glass, and is thinner and lighter than laminated alternatives. Ideal for galleries, fine art framing, and archival-quality display.
We carry a range of ancillary products to complement glass and framing projects. GHS glass cleaner is a professional-grade cleaner suitable for all glass types. Melinex 516/518 archival sheet is used for conservation framing as a barrier between artwork and glass. Our football display stand is an oval glass base with 4 support columns — routed edge and non-slip bumpon feet — ideal for displaying a ball within a cabinet, keeping it dust-free and perfectly presented.
